About the event
ReEvolution is hosting an opportunity to do or learn "The Work!"
"The Work" of Byron Katie (https://thework.com) is a self practice intended to lead to greater inner freedom, peace, and hapiness which in turn can lead to greater relationships, community, and sucess. Really it's a personal journey that everyone can experience differently.
Ella Kyle has been practicing and facilitating "The Work" for over 20 years and has offered to share it with our community members. In her words, "I have benefitted so much from this community and sharing in the safe space we have all created for ourselves that I now want to pass on another source of benefit in my life that might also serve you."
“Great spiritual texts describe the what—what it means to be free. The Work is the how. It shows you exactly how to identify and question any thought that would keep you from that freedom.” You can read about The Work online and even observe Byron Katie doing The Work online, however, the real benefit comes from actually doing The Work yourself.
This will be less casual than our typical events as people need to be present for the instruction and demonstration. We will provide snacks/lunch from 11:30-12:30, hold the workshop from 12:30-2:30, and then have time after from 2:30-3/3:30 for more snacks or visiting.
If you want to join us, please plan on being present at least from 12:30-2:30. We will also be streaming the process on Zoom if you can't attend in person. You will have the opportunity to learn, watch, and post questions through the chat if you attend via Zoom.
This is a commercial space, not a house. There should be plenty of street parking nearby, there isn't a lot that we know of.
If you are interested but have questions - don't hesitate to reach out! Call us at 323-391-8351 x 2 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be outside in the gardens so please wear layers if you plan to join us in person.
